School Sub Committees: Community Relations

Alastair was appointed to the role of Director of Community Relations at Sacré Coeur in 2018.

Previous to this, he was Associate Director, Alumni Relations at the University of Tasmania based in Hobart from 2014 to 2017, where he was recruited by the University to redesign and launch a new alumni community program and supporting corporate brand.

From 2001-2014, he worked at Deakin University in a number of roles, including: Manager, Alumni Relations, Alumni Marketing Officer, Major Projects Officer and Marketing Officer based in Geelong and Warrnambool. At Deakin he founded the University’s multi-award-winning alumni program in 2004 and developed it into one of the finest community engagement programs in Australia over the next decade.

Previous to his career in the education sector, Alastair was a Barrister and Solicitor for Clarke & Barwood Lawyers in Geelong and Colac for three years, where he practiced in family, criminal and civil law matters.

Alastair is the administrator of the Sacré Coeur Community Council.
