The Sony Foundation STAR holiday Camp is a collaborative service enterprise between six schools: Genazzano FCJ College, Loreto Mandeville Hall, St Kevin’s College, Sacré Cœur, Scotch College and Xavier College.
The purpose of STAR Camp is to provide a three day Camp experience for children with disabilities, ranging between the ages of 5 to 15.
The campers are looked after by student companions, who are recently graduated Year 12 students from each of the schools. The student companions are supported by volunteer medical personnel and volunteer teaching staff from the six schools.
STAR Camp takes place in the week before Christmas thus providing much needed respite time for families. This year, STAR camp will be held at Scotch College from Saturday 15 December until Monday 17 December 2012.
Please note that this year the Camp concludes on Monday 17 December and it is a requirement that parents will need to be able to collect their child between 2.00-2.30pm.
