Following the vision of St Madeleine Sophie Barat and the educational philosophy of Janet Erskine Stuart, Sacré Cœur educates the whole person around the Five Goals of a Sacred Heart Education:
• Faith Which is Relevant in Today’s World
• A Deep Respect for Intellectual Values
• Building Community as a Christian Value
• A Social Awareness that Impels to Action
• Personal Growth in an Atmosphere of Wise Freedom
When we celebrated 125 years of education at Sacré Cœur in 2013, we wished to acknowledge the contributions of members of the Sacré Cœur community who have given of their time, talent and treasure to the School and to society.
Such acknowledgements provide powerful inspiration and role models for our current girls and their families and also for prospective families.
RSCJ, alumnae, staff and other members of the Sacré Cœur community who have made significant contributions to the School were acknowledged. Couples and families were included, along with individuals.
Those people were acknowledged in 125 Years, 125 Stories and their photos and citations hung in the gallery. At the launch it was noted that nominations would be called to add to the photograph collection in 2018
We now invite nominations from members of the Sacré Cœur community for additions to the gallery.
Please send completed Nomination Forms by 1 July 2017 to:
