The Building the Education Revolution grant from the Federal Government enabled us to completely redevelop the Kirby Centre which was opened in 2010. In October 2009, the Sacré Cœur Board and the Sacré Cœur Foundation launched the Focus on Science Capital Appeal. The Appeal sought to raise $1.3 million for the creation of new state-of-the-art science facilities in which our girls can continue to excel in science and science-related fields.
With the generous support of the Sacré Cœur Community, Phase 1 of the Focus on Science building project has been completed and the new Janet Erskine Stuart Centre was opened on 9 October 2012.
The Foundation will now concentrate on Stage 2 of the Science Building Project. To date, $800,000 has been raised or pledged, but much more is needed to reach the Foundation's target of $1.3 million towards the total cost of $2.25 million. Stage 2 will not be commenced until the target is met.
Please support our daughters and future generations of Sacré Cœur students and help preserve and advance this wonderful school by giving generously to this Appeal.
