What sports do you offer?

Sacré Cœur is one of 24 member schools involved in Girls Sport Victoria (GSV).  GSV caters for girls from Years 7 to 12 and provides enormous opportunities for interschool competitions in a wide range of sports, including netball, basketball, swimming, diving, cross country  and soccer to name a few.

Primary students are involved in district competitions, House sports and a comprehensive physical education program.

Out of School Hours Care

Sacré Cœur offers a Before School Care program from 7.30am.  An After School Care program is offered in conjunction with our neighbouring school, Korowa, and is run by Camp Australia.  Camp Australia also offers a Holiday program.

Do you offer private music tuition?

Yes.  Sacré Cœur has a comprehensive private music tuition offering, as well as Speech and Drama.

In addition, all students from Prep to Year 8 have Music as part of the core Curriculum.

When should I enrol my daughter?

Waiting lists exist at some year levels.  If you wish to enrol your daughter at Sacré Cœur we recommend completing an Application form as soon as possible. Click here to download an Application form.

How many students are at the School?

Sacré Cœur caters for a maximum of 600 girls in the Senior school and approximately 200 girls in the Junior school.  There are no plans to exceed these numbers.

What about boys?

Sacré Cœur is a school for girls and the School emphatically believes that girls perform better in a single gender environment.  Hoewever, we recognise the importance of social and academic interaction with males, from time to time. In response to this we hold a number of academic, social and co-curricular activities with:

  • St Kevin's College
  • De la Salle College
  •  Xavier College

What programs do you offer for gifted children?

High standards of learning are set for each student and are supported by a differentiated approach to tasks so that the individual student's needs are the focus point for teaching. Enrichment provides exciting challenges for all students. Specialist subjects from Prep to Year 6 which further develop the students' talents include French, Art, Music, Instrumental programs, Physical Education and Library.

Do you have a special Year 9 program?

Yes we do. The curriculum and co-curricular activities for each year level at Sacré Cœur are specifically designed to the age and stage of the students.  Sacré Cœur runs the Duke of Edinburgh Award for all Year 9 students. This includes an outdoor education program which supports the curriculum and promotes healthy outdoor activity, particularly pertinent for Year 9 girls. The outdoor education program is supported by a camp which includes a river journey. The Year 9 currculum is comprehensive, challenging and prepares the students for the selection of VCE subjects

Are you a boarding school?

No, we are day school only.

Do you offer Scholarships?

Yes.  Scholarships are awarded annually and are available for entry to Sacré Coeur at Years 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11.   Please click here for more information about our Scholarships program.

Do your students need to have laptops?

No. Sacré Cœur is not a laptop school. There is ready access to computers within the School for all students Prep-12.
