All students in Year 9 participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Program and work towards attaining their Bronze Award and Certificate.
The Years 9 and 10 camps satisfy the 'Adventurous Journey' section of the award and girls undertake a number of ‘Service' activities including coaching a Joigny sports team, surf life saving, netball umpiring, becoming a library or after school care assistant, helping at St Vincent's or volunteering at local nursing homes.
Skills are acquired by engaging in cooking, sewing, taking guitar, surf or dance lessons, and even gardening right here in our beautiful gardens.
To satisfy the Physical Recreation component, the girls are involved in a number of sports and PE activities, including running, Pilates, rock climbing, surfing, martial arts, swimming, walking, netball, tennis, basketball and hockey.
Many of our students who achieve their Bronze Award go on to participate in the Silver and Gold levels outside of school.
